Below are the used products I have cleaned out of my personal magic collection. Many of these I have used in shows throughout the years. Others were purely for fun or to examine items before deciding to carry them in our store. I can accept credit cards and money transfers through paypal, as well as checks or money orders. I have recently cleaned out all the items that have been sold from the list. APPEARING WAND: I have no idea who made this item. It is a black wand with white tips. It is made of metal. This effect allows you to produce a magic wand from nowhere! I don't have the original instructions, but I will type some up to include with the item. The equipment is in like new perfect condition. I originally paid $15 for this item, so I will take $7.50. ATTACHING PLATE: From General Grant and the Magic Art Studio. These plates (3) make great utility items. They are meant to be sewn into the magicians clothes or attached to your working tables. These allow you to more securely attach items to your clothes, such as pulls, coin, card or ball holders, etc. It also provides a permanent location for these items which helps in your practice and performance as the plates can be left in during cleaning. Includes original instructions. Equipment is in like new perfect condition. These three plates originally cost $5, but I will take $2.50. Pictures: 1
BALLOON ANIMAL BOOK W/ BALLOONS: By Aaron Hsu-Flanders. This 80 page book contains 175 photos to illustrate each step of the process. Learn exactly how to make 10 exciting balloon creatures with this book. It is a great introduction to the basics of balloon twisting and a perfect place to start. I also will include some balloons. I can't remember how much I paid for this, so I will take $2 for it.
BULLET CATCHING CARD TRICK: I have no clue who made this item as I no longer have the original instructions. I have typed up instructions for the effect, however, so you will know how to do it. Magician shows several large cards with pictures of a magician on them. An audience member fires an imaginary gun at the magician cards but misses and shoots through the magician's hat! This is, of course, seen on the cards. One last attempt is made and this time the magician card catches the bullet between his teeth! The equipment is in like new perfect condition. The colors are muted in the pictures from the flash. They are much brighter in color, but it gives you the idea of what they look like. I originally paid $15? for this item, but will take $7.50. DIRTY HANDS GAG: Manufactured by Magic City. This is more of a 'gag' than a trick, as can be noticed from the title, but it is still magical if you do it right. I used this effect on an audience member before the tricky turvey bottle trick and it always got a big laugh. It works best on tricks where the volunteer will be handling the equipment so they need 'clean' hands. The effect is that you show a white towel clean both front and back. You then 'scrub' your volunteers hands to make sure they are clean. When you take the towel off their hands you show it now has dirty hand prints all over it! You will notice there is a torn section in the towel impairing its condition. I have used it with this tear in many shows and no one has yet to notice it to the point of ruining the effect. It could easily be sewn and repaired if you really wanted to. Includes original instructions. I originally paid $15 for this item, but will take $7.50. Pictures: 1 | 2
EXECUTIVE PRODUCTION BRIEFCASE: Manufactured by Adelaide Magic Factory in Australia. Magician walks on stage carrying an ordinary looking briefcase. It is placed on a table with a clear view underneath. Performer now opens the briefcase and reaches inside and produces large items that cannot physically fit inside the briefcase. Examples of produceable items include a basketball, large teddy bear, saucepan, can of paint, etc. The large produced items are real and can be examined... they are not collapsible production items! Once finished the briefcase can be set aside, and can be viewed from either side by the audience! An absolutely amazing effect that baffles the audience every time. Truly a magical effect in performance! Includes original instructions. The equipment is slightly damaged. It is visible upon close inspection from the outside, but from the audience distance it will not be noticeable. The effect can still be performed, as in the photos shown here that large mixing bowl was actually produced from the briefcase just as it would have been in a performance. Add in a few 'regular' production items, such as the 8 foot wooden pole I have for sale, etc. and really baffle them! Imagine pulling hats, canes, poles, silks and more out the briefcase along with a basketball. Of course, you toss the basketball into the audience so they know it is real. That just reinforces the idea that the briefcase can hold more than appears and they further believe the other items produced such as the 8 foot pole! FICKLE FIRE: I am not sure who made this item. Magician produces a flame magically in his/her hand. The flame is then vanished. The flame is produced yet again and then tossed to the other hand! The fire in each hand is under your control and can appear and disappear at will. Machined in solid brass! Includes original instructions. Equipment is in like new perfect condition, aside from some slight stains from the fact it is lit on fire during the effect! I originally paid $65 for this item, but will take $32.50.
FOLDING TOP HAT: Made in India. Not really a magic 'trick' but more just an effect. A flat top hat is snapped open to a full size top hat. Can be used as a production item, or for producing items. The mechanism works wonderfully! I have been very impressed with the quality of the mechanism. One of the four springs was busted a long time ago when a younger relative of mine, interested in learning magic, got a hold of it before I could stop him. However, it has still worked absolutely flawlessly even with only 3 springs remaining. The hat itself is made of good materials. They boast it is not board and plastic like so many other cheap models. So it can be dry cleaned, etc. It is made like a quality top hat should be made. The hat looks great from a safe distance, but if close by you can see the design is a bit off. The rim is not perfectly shaped, one side is a bit misshapen, etc. But I supposed that is why this version is only $40 retail instead of $400 retail for the exquisite versions on the market. You go with what your budget can afford, and for the price it is still an amazing hat. Includes original instructions. I originally paid $40 for this item, but will take $20. Pictures: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
INVISIBLE DOG: I have no clue who made this item. This is not a magic trick, but more a comedy item. It looks like an invisible dog is on a leash and you are walking him. It is in perfect condition. I paid $6 for this item, but will take $3. Pictures: 1 | 2
INVISIBLE THREAD RETRACTOR: This is an indispensable accessory item. This can be used to levitate an endless supply of smaller items in close-up situations! A very useful item for the individual willing to put in some practice. Includes original instructions. Equipment is in like new perfect condition. I originally paid $60 for this item, but will take $30.
MICROPHONE STAND PRODUCTION: I don't know exactly who manufactured this piece as I don't have the original instructions any longer but I will include some typed instructions. This effect allows you to produce a full size, useable microphone stand from a briefcase or other small space! This stand can actually hold your working microphone and does not use the coil systems like appearing canes or wands. The illusion is self working, but some time will be necessary to become familiar with the workings and limitations of the equipment. Equipment is is great condition (has been repaired a couple of times, but still works perfectly). I will include my corded microphone, which did not come with the piece originally. RUBBER CHICKEN WITH STRAP: Not a magic trick, but more a production item or gag item. The Velcro like strap keeps the chicken 'condensed' (just like the soup!) until ready for production. I used to produce the chicken from my 'normal' glove before doing the growing glove effect. Chicken and strap are still in like new perfect condition. I think the whole lot cost me about $10, so I will let it go for $5. Pictures: 1 | 2
UFO DICE: This was manufactured by Eddy Magic. This version is made from a very nice brass, not like some of the cheap plastic models on the market today. The effect is that four dice, vanished one at a time, magically reappear inside the bowls. Includes original instructions. This effect does require some slight of hand, but it is the most basic of slights and easy to learn with some practice. The equipment is in like new perfect condition. Includes original instructions and a hard case to keep the equipment safe. I originally paid $20, but will take $10. Pictures: 1
ULTIMATE AIRBORNE: Manufactured by Malloy Modern Magic. The performer shows a bottle of Perrier water and a glass and begins to pour a drink. He/she then removes his/her hand from the glass. The glass remains suspended in mid air while continuing to fill with liquid! The glass and bottle are then separated and the performer toasts the audience and takes a drink. This effect really amazes the audience! Includes original instructions. Equipment is in like new perfect condition. I originally paid $47.50 for this item, but will take $24. Pictures: 1 | 2
